]]> Lyckad kursdag i Fagereke https://fagereke.se/arkiv/7749 Mon, 01 Nov 2021 07:25:00 +0000 http://fagereke.se/?p=7749 Hur kunde en häst, som till en början ansågs vara lat och tjurig, bli Sveriges bästa polishäst? Om detta berättade Ulla-Carin Carlsson-Lindkvist när hon i söndags besökte Fagereke Ryttarförening för att hålla kursen Säker häst för ett 30-tal hästintresserade tjejer och killar.

Ulla-Carin har nästan 30 års erfarenhet som ridande polis i Stockholm, varav 22 år tillsammans med den omtalade tjänstehästen Utter. Utter eskorterade 515 högvakter och tjänstgjorde vid mer än 180 demonstrationer och 130 fotbolls/ishockeymatcher. Men resan dit var inte spikrak. Under en inledande föreläsning berättade Ulla-Carin om sina erfarenheter och hur hon tränade Utter.

Efter den teoretiska delen var det dags för träning till häst och Ulla-Carin lotsade deltagarna genom ett antal olika övningar. Ekipagen fick bland annat träna på att gå över ballonger, hushållspapper och blinkande lampor samt gå igenom trånga passager omgivna av paraplyer och flaggor. Syftet med kursen var att förstå hästens naturliga beteende och lära sig att tyda hästens signaler samt förstå hur man som ryttare påverkar hästen.

”Vi är väldigt tacksamma att Ulla-Carin ville komma till oss och jag tror många fick med sig både aha-upplevelser och nya insikter att jobba vidare med. Nu hoppas jag att vi kan få till en fortsättningskurs till våren” sa Eva-Lena Roth, en av initiativtagarna till kursen.
